Heat Transfer Equipment

The right heat transfer equipment (HTE) can make a world of difference – reducing your operating costs, cutting down on fuel consumption and improving the efficiency of your processes.

But finding the correct heat transfer equipment can be a real challenge. In an ideal scenario, you would be able to order an off-the-shelf solution that was efficient, cost-effective and capable of withstanding the stressors associated with its operating environment, whether that meant standing up to corrosive forces, or being small and light enough to fit on the crowded deck of an offshore platform.

Since it was first established in 2013, our heat transfer division has designed, manufactured, upgraded, maintained and repaired heat transfer equipment for supermajors, FPSO operators, engineering firms and refineries.

We’re also proud to have worked with chemical manufacturers, processing plants and renewable energy firms looking to improve the efficiency of their operations.

Heat Transfer Specialists

Whether you’re trying to heat a room or cooling tritum for a cold fusion reactor, we’re here to help you find the most effective solution. Our team of specialist engineers will take your specifications and use them to design reliable and hardwearing heat transfer equipment that stands the test of time – and improves the efficiency of business-critical processes.

With our expertise, we can build systems that can cope with extremely corrosive or sour environments, using exotic metals like stainless steel, duplex, titanium or inconel to limit process downtime and ensure that your equipment keeps performing in adverse conditions.

We’re also one of the few UK manufacturers with the expertise needed to design complex systems that adhere to exacting specifications, and we’ve built heat transfer equipment for a huge variety of applications – from the fin-fan coolers used to chill propane, through to plate heat exchangers, motor coolers, charge air coolers or the traditional shell and tube exchangers found in most oil refineries.

A Turnkey Solution

We don’t just sell best-in-class heat transfer products. We sell solutions to complex engineering problems and because we understand that things don’t stop in the workshop, we offer all of our clients a full turnkey service.

From design through to manufacture, delivery, maintenance and refurbishment, we’ll be there to support your team and ensure that everything is running smoothly.

We also help energy clients to optimise old or outdated equipment that’s no longer being operating within its designed and specified limits. In fact, our heat transfer division are well-versed at cleaning, repairing and reconditioning fouled exchangers, upgrading units in situ or inspecting equipment to minimise avoidable downtime.

Not Sure What You Need?

Some clients come to us with a full specification, but most organisations need some help and support when it comes to picking the right solution.

And that makes sense, because choosing heat transfer equipment is an involved decision that requires a lot of specialist knowledge.

Before you can choose a design, you’ll need to consider everything from the amount of space available for your exchanger, right through to the viscosity of the products you’re trying to heat or cool. You’ll also need to know whether you’re designing for sudden changes in pressure or temperature, and understand whether you need to work with corrosion-resistant alloys for sour environments.

In short, you need to be a heat transfer experts, which is why we start every project with an in-depth discovery session; asking our engineers to sit down with your team, and spec out a solution that meets your needs.

Once this is done, our draftsmen will draw up the designs and send them off to the workshop, where our team will start building your heat transfer equipment. Our warehouse is equipped with state of the art equipment and we maintain a clean room and special work area so that we can fabricate using duplex steel and other exotic metals.

Once your heat transfer equipment has been built and inspected by our team, we’ll package it up and ship it to your worksite. A full turnkey service that allows you to sit back and relax; content in the knowledge that you’ll receive a best-in-class product that meets all of your requirements.
