Ultrasonic Inspection

This NDT technique consists of propagating high frequency sound impulses into the test material providing clear signal interpretation through visual display of cracks and/or fabrication induced defects.

The highly skilled technicians interpret this information against criteria associated with the relevant specifications or standards such as ASME/AWS/EN to determine acceptance or rejection against those standards or customer specification.

This same process may also be utilised to measure thickness of pipelines, vessels, bulkheads etc. and for detection and monitoring of erosion, especially when there is only access from one side of the test material.
