Wellclad hosts state-of-the-art welding equipment over twin-turntables with operations offering annualised welding capacity in excess of 85,000 hours, working 24x7 with capability to handle components up to 20 tonnes in weight, 3 metres in diameter and 4 metres in height.
Its 3m active travel machine slides have a 3.5m (under torch) vertical working envelope over twin turntable workstations.
In Newcastle, Wellclad has four automated welding rigs, with turntables 1.8m diameter and a capacity for 10-tonne components.
Wellclad has the highest level of technical capability and consultancy, with its in-house European-level-qualified (EWE) welding engineers offering Technical R&D, Welding Engineering & Metallurgy Services. Wellclad has a technical database of more than 450 clients and industry approved Welding Procedures (WPS) covering CRA deposit of welding consumables including Inconel, Stellite, Duplex and 300 & 400 series Stainless Steel onto a range of base materials such as AISI 4130, AISI 8630, ASTM A182 F22, ASTM A182 F6NM and ASTM F60 / F65.
Turnkey and Project Management
Wellclad provides turnkey project management solutions for its customers, covering industry products such as Valves Bodies (Gate, Ball, Check, Globe, Butterfly etc_; Chokes; Bonnets; Wellhead Housings; Xmas Tree Blocks; Manifold Blocks and Tubing Hangers. Services provided are: Pre-weld machining, Pre-weld NDT, Weld Overlay, PWHT, Finish Machining and final NDT covering: DPI, MPI, UT, X-Ray, PMI and Clad Thickness.
